What is orthocaps?

orthocaps is for those patients who want a gentle, fast and less conspicuous way of straightening teeth. orthocaps provides a series of soft and hard CAPS, that after a period of time will straighten malocclusions and other tooth discrepancies.

For the clinician, orthocaps guarantees the support of a team of experienced, competent and professional orthodontists, who are able to assist through the entire treatment process.

The system was developed by orthodontist Dr. Wajeeh Khan. Dr. Khan and his team are experienced practising orthodontists who act as consultants throughout the entire treatment. Having worked with alternative systems, Dr. Khan was not entirely happy with the results, as he considers the consistent use of aligners made up of hard plastics to be too severe. The use of hard aligners results in heavy forces which are contraproductive and sometimes harmful for teeth and surrounding tissues.

orthocaps is a system that uses low forces and softer plastics to move teeth efficiently. The softo-CAPS as the name suggests, are made of a softer thermoplastic material and are designed for night time wear, giving light and gentle forces, which are better for orthodontic treatment.
